The Problem
People using Bluetooth-connected recovery devices had no unified way to set up their device, build a treatment plan, or know which routine actually fit how they were feeling in the moment.
My Approach
I designed GoChirp to meet users in the moment - turning a physical device and raw sensor data into an experience that feels guided, not clinical.
The Product
DESIGN DECISIONS
Two calls that made a new, complex product feel simple
Four tabs, not more
This was GoChirp's first product of its kind, and it needed an app that felt as new as the device itself - but new couldn't come at the cost of clarity. Four tabs kept navigation simple enough to learn instantly, while still giving each part of the experience its own clear space.
Built to handle complexity, not hide it
The device runs live, sensor-adjusted routines - the app had to control that in real time, while also remembering past preferences and recommending new routines based on them. The hard part wasn't picking a direction; it was designing something robust enough to cover a genuinely intricate product, without losing the simplicity a brand-new user needed on day one.
